Your pre-wedding photos should feel unhurried, beautiful, and deeply personal — not rushed, awkward, or overly posed.

My pre-wedding sessions are designed as a guided experience, taking you through Sydney’s most iconic and romantic locations while creating images that feel cinematic, natural, and true to you. Whether you’re visiting Sydney from overseas or celebrating this chapter locally, this is about capturing your connection in a way that feels effortless and meaningful.

My favourite Sydney locations for couple photoshoots

Sydney is full of stunning backdrops, each with its own charm and vibe. Here are some of my favourite locations for couples photoshoots — find the one that speaks to you and let’s create magic together!

1. Mrs Macquarie's Chair & Royal Botanic Gardens

Where love meets the skyline. This historic harbour-side lookout feels like a love letter to Sydney — with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in one frame, gentle waves lapping below, and a breeze that always arrives at the perfect moment. It’s the kind of spot where you hold hands and quietly say, “we live here?!”

2. Lavender Bay & Wendy's Secret Garden

For the soft-hearted souls. Lavender Bay is a pocket of peace, with old timber wharves, hidden benches, and Wendy’s Secret Garden spilling over with flowers and stories. It’s quiet, poetic, and feels like a scene from a Studio Ghibli film. Come here if you want gentle laughter, slow walks, and something that feels like home.

3. Your Local Beach

Golden hour, sandy toes, and the soundtrack of the sea. Beach shoots are relaxed, heartfelt, and filled with real, unscripted moments. Bring your pup! Dogs living their best beach life are a must. Think zoomies, wet noses, and the kind of joy you can’t fake.

4. La Perouse

Wild, windswept, and a little bit cinematic. With sandstone cliffs, ocean views, and the bridge to Bare Island, La Perouse feels like the edge of the world — in the best way. It's for the lovers who find beauty in the quiet, who don’t mind a bit of wind in their hair, and who want their photos to feel raw, real, and full of soul.

5. Haymarket (Chinatown)

If you’re after a date night vibe that’s low-key but full of personality, Chinatown’s it. Think: bubble tea pit stops, sizzling skewers, neon corners and late-night arcade games. Perfect for couples who want photos that feel fun, not formal.

“"Alice has been amazing throughout the whole process from communicating to organise a date to delivery of the images. Everything has been quick, easy, flexible and seamless. The photoshoot itself was very relaxed and so much fun which we loved because my husband and I can be a little awkward in front of a camera. Highly recommend!"”
